Velocity Tomogram Images of: Voids/Soil Intrusions, Honeycomb, Cracks, Uncured or Weak Concrete in Beams, Columns, Piers

Tomography software to image the shape of the internal conditions including defects with Ultrasonic/Sonic Pulse Velocity measurements. The software allows for 2-D and 3-D displays including animation.

The capability provided by tomography testing and analysis is the ability to see the shape of an anomaly to better judge its extent and severity between each tested structural surface. This allows engineers and contractors to determine if repairs are needed, and where the repairs need to be performed. If enough structural geometries are tested, one can also obtain a 3-D image of the shape and extent of the unseen, hidden internal anomalies.

The 2-D Velocity Tomogram at left shows a cross-section of a concrete column with internal honeycomb/void. The sound concrete (high velocity) is green with areas of honeycomb/void in red-orange-yellow (slower velocity of sound).
