For length determination of unknown foundation depths for bridges and buildings even if foundation tops are not accessible. The Parallel Seismic test involves impacting the foundation or the structure above the foundation to "listen" for arrivals with a receiver in a nearby cased borehole with a bottom depth drilled well below suspected/required foundation depth.
