Applicable On:
Soil and Rock
Test for:
Soil and Rock Dynamic Properties, International Building Code (IBC) Requirements, Power Plant Foundations, Site Design Characterization, Liquefaction Potential, Vibrating Machine Foundations.
Borehole based methods for determining seismic velocities of soil and rock by measuring their compression and shear wave velocities between two to three Crosshole Seismic borings or one Downhole Seismic boring.
Models Available:
- CS/DS-1: One (1) Triaxial Geophone with air bladder (source and rods NOT included)
- CS/DS-2: Two (2) Triaxial Geophones with air bladder (source and rods NOT included)
- P-SV Source Option: An electro-mechanical source for generating radial compressional (P) and vertically polarized shear (SV) wave energy in a grouted, cased boring for use in seismic velocity and tomography measurements. (NOT included in base CS/DS-1/2 systems, but available as an option)
